RAM THIEVES – 2D TACTICAL CRPG (ONGOING PROJECT)

Ram Thieves is a 2D tactical CRPG in development, featuring zone-based combat, modular prefabs, and branching story arcs. As systems and combat designer, I’m building prototypes, encounters, and modular UI while documenting the project as an ongoing case study of my design process and evolution.

CONVERSATIONAL DESIGN

Ram Thieves is a tactical CRPG where combat and dialogue systems support one another to shape both story and gameplay. I approach conversational design as part of the core game loop, ensuring that narrative choices influence tactical encounters and combat outcomes reinforce the story. This document showcases my design process, from conversation flows and requirements to examples of how dialogue and mechanics are integrated.

ESCAPE ROOM PUZZLES 

I was a partner at Dare To Escape AZ, a local escape room business in Chandler, Arizona, which operated until its closure during COVID. During that time, I designed the game scenarios and core mechanics for five live escape room experiences and created nearly 100 authentic, playtested puzzles that integrated deeply with narrative and gameplay. These escape rooms were played by more than 40,000 people and generated over one million dollars in revenue. Watch the teaser videos below to see them in action.

MICROSCOPE SIMULATION

Produced the Online Bio 181 Lab Manual for Maricopa Community Colleges, leading the end-to-end product lifecycle from requirements gathering to delivery. Defined technical specifications, user flows, and interaction requirements for an interactive microscope simulation. Developed all course content and coordinated closely with a visual designer and engineer to ensure the final product met both instructional goals and technical standards.

SCIENCE INTERACTIONS

Produced hands-on science interactions for Adaptive Curriculum, managing the full product lifecycle from requirements definition through delivery. Authored technical specifications and user flows to guide development, ensuring each interaction aligned with curriculum goals and platform requirements. Collaborated with visual designers and engineers to translate content into engaging, standards-aligned digital experiences.

SCIENCE ANIMATIONS

Developed for Empower Kids Palestine Project by Arizona State University (ASU).​ Led the end-to-end production, developed all content, and collaborated with visual designers and voice artist to create the animations.
